The Lowcountry Livability PAC is currently in the process of recruiting candidates and raising money to fund its efforts to support a slate of Charleston County Council candidates that will support its values.

The board and supporters of the Lowcountry Livability PAC believe Charleston County Council races are extremely important to the livelihood of all Lowcountry residents. We question the circumstances surrounding the hiring of Chairman Summey as the CEO of the Charleston County Aviation Authority, as well as the mysterious departure and golden parachute of former county administrator Jennifer Miller.
While most of our collective attention is pulled to the daily drama of DC politics, the Lowcountry Livability PAC believes that our focus should be equally found in what’s happening in our own back yard. County council decisions affect our daily lives.

Filing for county council seats is March 15-30. Once the PAC knows who will be on the ballot, either for the June 9 primary or the Nov. 3 general election, the board will begin its interview process and endorsements will be announced.
